Moving to charleston afb soon, where are the best places to rent a home off base?

We are looking at homes to rent around charleston afb sc. We have heard all kinds of stories of where not to live lol. Also What are some military friendly companies that we could rent through? Like century 21, or miler properties. Anything else? Also please add any tips you have while living in charleston sc. Thank you so much!

1. NOT ARCHDALE FOREST TOWNHOMES!!!!! off of ashley phosphate and dorchester!!! They kept over 800 of my deposit for carpet in the dining room only due to a leak that was NOT my fault anyways,,, and i had to take them to court to get my money back I won, thankfully cause like i said it wasnt my fault. ridiculous. also was discriminated against and lied to but thats another story. -------------Otherwise I have experience with Donaree Village off ashley phosphate and rivers ,, and.... ummm,,, I cant think of the name bbut its on Apartment (drive, boulevard.... something.) off of dorchester, the First set of apartments when you turn in (not farther back) near 526 and dorchester.... no problems with either of those!
