Are there beaches in Charleston SC that are open at night to walk on?

Im flying into Charleston South Carolina at midnight and before we drove 4 hours to hendersonville, we wanted to stop and walk on the beach while we were there, but when I looked online it seemed like all the beaches have hours and fees. Seriously I just want to walk along a stretch of ocean for like 10 min around 1 in the morning without getting in trouble or searching for a few hours to find one... Thanks so much!
