What are the steps to starting and running a catering business.Everyone says my food and desserts are great

but i don't know the first thing about catering or opening a restaurant. Which is the better of the two ideas for someone who has limited cash? I thought catering cause i have no money rent a place for a restaurant.

  1. i also have no expertise in this area but i do believe that catering would be better regardless if you had money for the resturant because there is just so much work for a resturant i mean theres advertising, and getting the fresh foods daily, menus...and also the actual building itself, and you need to hire people and will probably need numerous licenses (if you were to serve alcoholic beverages) as opposed to catering where you can take on the projects you'd like, it would be fun because you could do weddings, birthdays, parties, anniversarys... just my two cents best of luck hun!
  2. Hi There, Have you tried something called The LB Plan? It is really worth checking out. Heard they were issuing another version for start up catering companies. I have it and it is amazing. Changed my catering co. Go to www.thelbplan.com Best of luck pamelal
